Debris-flow track lines at the mouth of Soldier Canyon along the eastern front of the Santa Catalina Mountains. The debris-flows formed during a rare meteorological event in late July 2006. Hundreds of debris-flows surged down drainage in the Santa Catalinas and other mountain ranges in SE Arizona. Fortunately, few debris-flows reached roads and infrastructure. Soldier Canyon was one exception. Line work by AZGS' Ann Youberg. Photography by PG Griffiths Helicopter service.
