In 1969, geologist Wes Pierce build geologic cross sections for southern, central and northern Arizona. This is the southern Arizona cross section showing major structures of the Basin and Range Province.
Wes' vertical exaggeration is rather extreme.
We now know quite a bit more about the timing, nature and orientation of faults involving basins and ranges of southern Arizona.
