This is one of the more than 8,000 landslide/debris-flow features documented at the interactive Natural Hazards in Arizona Viewer ( https://tinyurl.com/AZNaturalHazardsMap). The landslide(s) crops out at the southeastern end of Belakai Mesa on the Navajo Reservation. The geometry of the landslide deposit clearly reflects a multi-pulse event. Timing of the event is uncertain, but it seems reasonable to assume a late-Pleistocene to Holocene time frame.
