In the summer of 2010, a careless camper caused a wildfire that destroyed 1000s of woodland acres along the east slope of the San Francisco Peaks, outside Flagstaff, Arizona. The wildfire was followed by monsoon rains disrupting homes and nearby property. Ann Youberg (AZGS), Karen Koestner and Dan Neary (Rocky Mountain Research Station, Flagstaff) wrote a short, illustrated note on the event and its aftermath. http://azgeology.azgs.arizona.edu/archived_issues/azgs.az.gov/arizona_ge...
