Cliff Hetz (Arizona Western College Archaeology) and students documenting Archaic, Patayan, and Hohokam rock-art elements at Sears Point, southwest of Gila Bend, Arizona. Rock-art here is pecked into massive basaltic lavas exposed on the west edge of the Sentinel volcanic field. Many of the hundreds (1000s?) of rock-art elements are arranged in panels comprising several dozen elements. (If you visit Sears Point, please do not touch or otherwise despoil the rock-art.)
