Diabase sill illustrating spheroidal, in situ weathering near the top of Salt Creek Canyon, Arizona. Thin, vertical veinlets of secondary calcite(?) mineralization cut through the older diabase. Age of this unit is uncertain, but diabase sills were intruded into the nearby, Proterozoic Apache Group.
