Elephant Tooth in the Black Mountains near Oatman, Arizona, as seen from a mill-site 1 mile from town. (The tooth is situated in the upper left corner of the image.) Frederick Ransome, who mapped here in the early 20’s, cleverly chided the locals for not calling it a Tusk in his 1923 report on the district (USGS Bulletin 743).
