Entrenched meanders in Kaibab Limestone, Northern Arizona

Uplift of the Colorado Plateau over the past 6-millions years has provided streams the opportunity to slice down through stone. These entrenched stream meanders cut~ 80-feet deep into the Permian Kaibab Limestone of northern Arizona. Barringer's Meteor Crater appears in the upper right (NE) of the image.
